- ½ tsp honey or simple syrup (optional)
Ice & Garnish:
- ½ cup ice cubes

Instructions
Prepare the Matcha: In a small bowl, whisk the matcha powder with hot water using a bamboo whisk or a milk frother until smooth and frothy. Sweeten if desired.
Assemble the Drink:
- Add the strawberry puree to a tall glass.
- Fill the glass with ice cubes.
- Slowly pour the milk over the strawberry layer.
- Gently pour the prepared matcha on top for a layered effect.
Serve & Enjoy: Stir before drinking to mix the flavors, or sip layer by layer for a fun experience. Garnish with fresh strawberries if desired.
Make the Strawberry Puree: Blend the strawberries, honey, and lemon juice until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve if you prefer a smoother texture. Set aside.
Notes
- Vegan Option: Use plant-based milk and maple syrup instead of honey.
- Sweetness Adjustments: Increase or decrease honey based on your preference.
- Iced vs. Hot: This recipe is best served iced, but you can warm up the milk for a cozy version.
- Matcha Quality Matters: Use ceremonial-grade matcha for a smoother, less bitter taste.
- Extra Frothiness: Froth the milk before adding for a creamier texture.
