  • Yield: 16 brownies

Description

Rich, fudgy Halloween Brownies decorated with spooky toppings like candy eyes, tombstone cookies, and sprinkles. Perfect for parties or family fun!

Ingredients

Brownie Base:

  • ½ cup melted butter

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 large eggs

  • ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • ¼ tsp baking powder

  • Pinch of salt

Decorations (choose your favorites!):

  • Candy eyes
  • Candy corn or M&Ms

  • Milano cookies or chocolate biscuits (for tombstones)

  • Orange, green, or purple sprinkles

  • Buttercream frosting or chocolate ganache

  • Marshmallows for ghost shapes

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pan – Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Make the batter – In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, vanilla, and eggs. Add cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir until smooth.
  3. Bake – Pour the batter into the pan. Bake for 22–26 minutes, until the edges are set and the center is just slightly underdone for fudgy brownies.
  4. Cool completely – Let the brownies cool in the pan before decorating.
  5. Decorate – Add candy eyes, pipe on frosting bandages for mummies, press in cookie “tombstones,” or drizzle white chocolate for spiderwebs. Get creative!
  6. Serve & enjoy – Slice into squares and serve your spooky creations.
